LDS Primary songs for beginner violin

**EDIT. For some reason the link for “A Child’s Prayer” is giving me fits, but if you click on the Spanish version (Oración  de un niño) it is the same music.

So I love music. I love to play it.  I love to listen to it. I love to teach it. Right now I am working with my own kids to learn how to play different instruments. If you or any of your children have learned much on the violin you probably have heard about Suzuki. They are great books and I love them. My daughter...not so much. She hated practicing them, but I didn't want her to loose interest in the violin. So I started writing up primary songs for her. I thought that maybe, just maybe there are others out there in the same boat, and I thought I would share.

All of the following are in the key of D.  This means that they probably are not the same as the children's song book.  So if someone tried to play piano along, it may not work. However, they are good for playing solo. I hope to keep adding to the list and possibly get some viola and cello parts soon!

A Child's Prayer
Faith
Families can be Together Forever
I am a Child of God
I Will Walk with Jesus **NEW**
If the Savior Stood Beside Me
Love One Another
My Heavenly Father Loves Me
Nephi's Courage
Once there was a Snowman
Popcorn Popping
Rain is Falling All Around
When I am Baptized

Canciones para niños en el violín.  Todos son en la clave de RE.  Esto significa que la mayoría no son en la misma clave que las partituras del piano.

Amad a otros

  1. Thank you!! My daughter will be so excited to get to play some Primary songs! A Child's Prayer said I did not have permission to access - could you allow access to that one as well? Thanks for sharing your hard work!
